Brief Analysis
The prototype was based off a chapter from the 'Mistborn Trilogy'. I broke down the chapter into beats, thinking what mechanics the player might use to achieve these and how to teach these to the player
Push Pull Mechanics
Players can pull metal with LMB or push with RMB. If the target is lighter than the player, the metal moves to the player. If the metal is heavy or fixed, as shown above, the player moves toward the target.
Sketches
From sketching fantasy buildings, I had the idea to implement sliding and jumping off angled roofs. This greatly increased player mobility and provided new paths to guide the player through the level.
Blueprints
When the player aims near metal fixtures and holds RMB, they are pulled toward the metal. The player can also hang off the metal fixture, and jump off and into the air
