Along with gameplay elements such as pit-stops and tyre strategies, also notice the improvements to UI.
I learned alot during this project about communicating information to the player, such as having text prompts, and reducing the alpha of the speed mode buttons to easier show the player what speed mode they are currently in

First Iteration

I constructed a MVP of the game first. This allowed me to start collecting feedback as early as possible in the design process

Qualative Data Gathering

When gathering qualative data, I would ask the same question framed in different ways. This way I could verify the feedback.
In this example, I am asking the same question, but the feedback is almost completely different. This discrepency prompted me to gather some quantative data in the form of analytics. However, in this specific example, the discrepency itself is clear that players were not understanding the controls of the game and that should be a priority to change for the next iteration.

Unity Analytics

This was my first time using any analytics to inform my game designs. I found it increbily useful and I know use Unity Analytics as often as I can.
The above example shows the remaining fuel from one of the prototype iterations. No players run out of fuel and almost all players finish with >80% fuel.
This indicated to me that the fuel consumption should be increased in the next iteration. This was backed up by qualitive feedback.
